 The Department of Drug Sciences offers the Master Programme in Industrial Nanobiotechnologies for Pharmaceuticals an intensive 2-year, full-time, second level degree entirely taught in English and designed for graduates at the BA level who are seeking a qualification in advance areas of Pharmaceutical sciences and Biotechnology. Graduates will acquire a strong theretical and methodological background relevant to both basic and applied aspects of these disciplines.

Students attending the Master Programme in Industrial Nanobiotechnologies for Pharmaceuticals come from European and extra-European countries.

The course is sponsored by Board of Biologists of Lombardia.

For the Academic Year 2025/26, the Department of Drug Sciences offers the following course:

Credits: 3 CFU

Course Objective: The course aims to provide advanced knowledge and skills in the design and regulation of nanomedicines. Topics related to the development strategies of nanotechnological pharmaceutical products will be addressed, with the analysis of real case studies and an in-depth look at the regulatory context in the biotech sector applied to nanomedicines.

Professor Adriele Prina-Mello is an Ussher Assistant Professor in Translational Nanomedicine and Associate Director for Research at the School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin, where she has also been a Fellow since 2021. She is also the Director of the Laboratory for Biomedical Characterisation of Advanced Materials in Ireland. Her research activity is at the intersection of materials science, nanotechnologies, and biomedical applications, with a strong focus on technological innovation in healthcare. She collaborates with the "Health" area of the Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
